Coupling Immortal and Mortal.
There was magic in her breath. A soft and sensuous scent hovered around her as her milky white skin radiated pure sublimity. Lile made herway over the ripples on the pool toward Aideen and extended her hand, giving the scarf to the latter. Aideen nervously accepted it and in so doing touched the other's hand - briefly - but the surge that burnt through her body was undeniable. There was a connection to be made...there were experiences to be experienced.
"I am Lile, mistress of this pool and all enchanted beings here," Her words were as the ringing of bells, melodic, soothing. Aideen floundered for words but Lile continued,"I have given you the sight. The last time you bathed here...my eyes caught you and I sought desperatly to have you trapped beneath my eyelids for an eternity so captivated was I by your amazing beauty. Right there. Right then, I decided to give you this gift...privilged only to very special and few mortals."
"So it was you...your fingers, your lips.."
"Yes! I have loved you. And my heart aches to do so again. Let us share in the passions that only we understand. Let me shatter the bonds of convention that keep your chastity so unbearable. Let us share but one kiss." Her words trailed off into a bearly audible whisper that echoed around them. The water continued trickling and silence stretched taut about them.
Without thinking...giving all control over to her heart, Aideen stepped foward and got a feather's distance from Lile's lips. She felt her breath upon the pink of her own lips and looked deeply into the other's eyes. They shared their breathing for what felt like an eternity before Lile lunged foward and left the most passionate...most pleasurably invasive kiss ever concieved upon the very soul of Aideen. Eyes closed, thoughts completely relaxed Aideen felt her being melt into white bliss and felt herself rise above the waters as well...now level to Lile and embowered in a warm caress.
The world around her seemed to grow...to get larger exponentially and she suddenly felt her surroundings vanish in a dizzy haze of mixed colour. Then she felt a delicate softness beneath her feet. Looking down she percived a yellow mass of soft pollen. Confused, she looked around and saw pink, waxy, flexible 'walls' as it were...lily petals! Lile smiled gently as realization dawned upon Aideen. They had magically shrunk in size and were now safely embowered in the heart of a pink lily...and there upon the softness of its base did they couple. In the midst of the heady fragrance they leant their own fragrances of passion and there they dissolved all worldly limitations and bounds in surges of white ecstacy.
After the breathless consumation, they lay entwined in each other's arms eyes locked in an eternal exchange of vision and what felt like love sublime. And Lile spoke...
"We are immortals. We take care of the natural environment and its forces and nurture the semi-celestial beings that abound...all invisible to the greed and wrath of power-seeking men. Now that you have the sight, ou will be able to see us all...normally, we only reveal ourselves temporarily...but my love has desired your permanance. I seek also to have the council of the elements to confer immortality upon you - but that may take some time. You have brought to me such indescribable ecstasy that my very words cannot express the severity of the warningthat I now give to you. Do not let any man take from you, your chastity for once that is done, you lose your vision to him. 'Till you become immortal you are vulnerable to any man - and should you lose your vision, your very essence will be lost and I fear that a wraith you will become....I shudder to pronouce these words, but it is a harsh truth that I must speak. But fear not for the wind will protect you..." And she smiled.
"The wind?"
"Yes. The one that you met on the beach...the one with the wings of a swan. He presides of the element of wind and is the only one among the elements with free movement. All other beings are fixed. We abide by laws of nature and aas such cannot leave our appointed places unless we must meet in the stone circle - the common area of all celestials. It is a most mystical place and I long for the day that I could take you there."
Aideen felt soothed by her words and felt like naught mattered but being in her constant embrace. It was the first time that she had felt true to herself...the first time that her defences, her pretences were let down entirely...the first and foremost freedom.
Then they heard the sound of wnigs in the air and felt their flowery bed shake in the upheavals created by the waves. They stood up and peered through the petals surounding them and saw Aingeal alight onto the large rock in the heart of the pool. His eyes were imaptient, his lithe body rippled with anticipation and they noticed a current in the normally placid waters.
Then suddenly emerged another. His brown curls fell to his upper back in long wet locks and beads of water clung to his soft features. He sighed and the sound of the Ocean echoed......
